Meet the Ministry Team
Adam Draycott | Vicar
Adam grew up in Sydney’s west. Before entering Sydney Missionary and Bible College (SMBC) to train for the ministry he worked in various property-related roles, including property valuation in central Victoria. Upon graduating from SMBC, Adam was ordained and moved to Gunnedah where he served as an assistant between 2007 and 2009. He became the Vicar of Barraba in 2010 and served there until the beginning of 2015. It was during this period that he also served as the Diocesan Youth Encourager. In early 2015 he was inducted as the Senior Minister in the Inverell Parish and a little later became the Archdeacon for the MacIntyre.
Adam is married to Tanya and they have two children. He loves watching his children play sport, going on long walks with his family, listening to Australian rock music, driving his ute and chasing vermin.
daniel Avenell | Associate
Daniel and Jenni have been married since 1980 and are now the parents of five children and seven grand children. As well as growing children they have also grown crops and cattle before moving to Rockhampton where Daniel taught Agricultural Science for 21 years. In 2009 Daniel and Jenni studied at Queensland Theological College and started their ministry in the Boggabilla Parish in 2012, and Moree Parish in 2016.
Jenni loves reading, vegetable growing and craft when she finds the time, and especially loves reading and studying the bible with other ladies. Daniel likes reading also (mainly theology) and loves being a teacher of God’s Word.
In 2017 Daniel and Jenni moved to Brisbane to care for aged parents. The season for that is now passed, and now from 2018 they look forward to serving God’s church and promoting God’s kingdom again in the Armidale Diocese.
Tineke is a North West NSW girl. She grew up in Manilla and loves to return to visit family and friends in that great little town. After studying Early Childhood, she worked in this field in Sydney before living in the UK for 2 years. Her return to Australia saw her living and working in Sydney for 4 more years before returning to the North West to work in Gunnedah. While loving her work in Preschool, she was challenged to consider Bible college, so headed back to Sydney to study at Sydney Missionary and Bible College. This led to her employment as Pastoral Worker (Women and Children) at Inverell Anglican Church in 2006. She was Ordained as a Deacon in 2017.
She is also employed as School Chaplain at Ross Hill Primary School.
Tineke loves growing things from cuttings and seed in her garden and, to save her hard work being destroyed, takes the dog on regular outings! She enjoys writing and receiving snail mail letters from friends and playing flute in the town concert band. She gets excited when people want to know more and talk about Jesus.
